Oil paintings
A native of Tidewater Virginia, Laura Edwards trained as a painter at The University of North Carolina and maintained a working artist studio at The Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia for over 25 years. In 2020 she relocated and works from her home studio. She said of her paintings that they create an illusion; the painting you see and the one you imagine. Her pieces are done in oils on a veriety of materials; canvas, hard surface panels, and a Ph neutral paper.
Lara Brady - Oil and acrylic. Lara's fluid and ever changing artistic interests span from abstract impressionism to photo-realism and often contain a surprising juxtaposition of styles and textures. Lara is co-owner of Rappahannock hang-ups Frame Shop and Gallery and devotes herself to the promotion of the arts in her community.
Linda Goldstein-
Linda Goldstein’s watercolor paintings grace homes and offices throughout the United States. Juried into numerous exhibits, her work has won many awards.
Watercolor “Warming George” is in the permanent collection of George Washington University, Washington, D.C., and is displayed in the Marvin Center.
Linda’s work is currently on display at the RAL Art Center Studio Gallery and Hangups in Kilmarnock, VA.
Richard Higgins- Now deceased, Dick Higgins was a watercolorist who painted nature, boats, sky and water of the Chesapeake Bay and documented his travels in his artwork. He won many awards and was a full time painter in his retirement career after having worked as a dentist. Hang-ups has a large portion of his later work, unframed. These pieces are a treasure to the local community and grace the walls of many homes and businesses in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula.
